Root Disk Lifecycle Management
Manage custom OS images on CoreWeave Cloud
When creating Virtual Servers, it may be desirable to create a custom template root disk image from which to instantiate the Server.
CoreWeave provides standard images that include the base OS, GPU drivers, and certain utilities such as Docker. There are multiple ways to customize the provided CoreWeave images in your own templates, or to import a new image from an external source.
Below is a list of some guides on the topic of managing the root disk lifecycle.
Expanding root disks
Cloning and manual customization
Automatic provisioning and CI integration using Packer
- Copying CoreWeave Images to a Writable PVC
- Using Hashicorp Packer to create and update OS Images
