# W&B 라이선스 및 버전 업데이트

이 가이드에서는 W\&B Server 관리자가 기존 Self-Managed 배포의 W\&B Server 버전과 라이선스 키를 업데이트하는 방법을 설명합니다. 서버와 라이선스를 최신 상태로 유지하면 최신 기능과 버그 수정을 이용할 수 있고, W\&B Server 사용 권한도 계속 유지됩니다.

W\&B Server 버전과 라이선스는 W\&B Server를 설치할 때와 동일한 방법으로 업데이트하세요. 다음 표에서는 배포 방법별로 라이선스와 버전을 업데이트하는 방법을 확인할 수 있습니다.

  Terraform으로 업데이트
</h2>

W\&B에서 관리하는 Terraform 모듈로 W\&B Server를 배포했다면 Terraform을 사용해 라이선스 키와 W\&B 버전을 모두 인플레이스(in-place)로 업데이트하세요. 다음 table은 클라우드 플랫폼별 W\&B 관리 Terraform 모듈 목록입니다.

1. 사용 중인 클라우드 제공업체의 W\&B 관리 Terraform 모듈로 이동하세요. 클라우드 제공업체에 맞는 Terraform 모듈은 위의 table에서 확인하세요.

2. Terraform 설정에서 `wandb_app` 모듈 설정의 `wandb_version`과 `license`를 업데이트하세요.

   ```hcl theme={"system"}
   module "wandb_app" {
       source  = "wandb/wandb/[CLOUD-SPECIFIC-MODULE]"
       version = "new_version"
       license       = "new_license_key" # 새 라이선스 키
       wandb_version = "new_wandb_version" # 원하는 W&B 버전
       ...
   }
   ```

3. `terraform plan`과 `terraform apply`로 Terraform 설정을 적용하세요.
   ```bash theme={"system"}
   terraform init
   terraform apply
   ```

4. 선택 사항: `terraform.tfvars` 또는 다른 `.tfvars` 파일을 사용하는 경우, 새 W\&B 버전과 라이선스 키로 해당 파일을 업데이트하거나 새로 만드세요.
   ```bash theme={"system"}
   terraform plan -var-file="terraform.tfvars"
   ```
   Terraform 작업 디렉터리에서 설정을 적용하세요.
   ```bash theme={"system"}
   terraform apply -var-file="terraform.tfvars"
   ```

Terraform이 변경 사항을 적용하면 배포 환경에서 지정한 W\&B 버전이 실행되며, 업데이트된 라이선스 키가 사용됩니다.

  Helm으로 업데이트
</h2>

<Warning>
  `wandb` Helm 차트는 사용 중단되었으며 더 이상 지원되지 않습니다. 이 차트는 단일 파드를 배포하는 방식이었으며, 현재는 [W\&B Kubernetes Operator](/ko/products/wandb/platform/hosting/self-managed/operator)로 대체되었습니다. 아직 이 차트를 사용하고 있다면 [마이그레이션 가이드](/ko/products/wandb/platform/hosting/self-managed/operator#migrate-self-managed-instances-to-wb-operator)에 따라 operator로 전환하세요.

Helm을 사용해 업데이트하는 방법은 두 가지입니다. 기존 Helm values 파일로 업데이트하거나, 업그레이드 명령에서 새 라이선스와 이미지 태그를 직접 지정할 수 있습니다. 다음 섹션에서 각 방법을 설명합니다.

<h3 id="update-wb-with-spec">
  spec으로 W\&B 업데이트
</h3>

추적되는 `*.yaml` values 파일로 Helm 설정을 관리하는 경우 이 방법을 사용하세요.

1. Helm 차트 `*.yaml` 설정 파일에서 `image.tag` 값이나 `license` 값 중 하나 또는 둘 다를 수정하여 새 버전을 지정하세요.

   ```yaml theme={"system"}
   license: 'new_license'
   image:
     repository: wandb/local
     tag: 'new_version'
   ```

2. Helm 저장소를 업데이트한 다음 values 파일로 W\&B 릴리스를 업그레이드하세요.

   ```bash theme={"system"}
   helm repo update
   helm upgrade --namespace=wandb --create-namespace \
     --install wandb wandb/wandb --version ${chart_version} \
     -f ${wandb_install_spec.yaml}
   ```

<h3 id="update-license-and-version-directly">
  라이선스와 버전 직접 업데이트
</h3>

values 파일을 편집하지 않고 기존 Helm 릴리스 설정을 재사용하여 라이선스와 이미지 태그를 업데이트하려면 이 방법을 사용하세요.

1. 새 라이선스 키와 이미지 태그를 환경 변수로 설정하세요.

   ```bash theme={"system"}
   export LICENSE='new_license'
   export TAG='new_version'
   ```

2. 새 값을 기존 설정과 병합하여 Helm 릴리스를 업그레이드하세요.

   ```bash theme={"system"}
   helm repo update
   helm upgrade --namespace=wandb --create-namespace \
     --install wandb wandb/wandb --version ${chart_version} \
     --reuse-values --set license=$LICENSE --set image.tag=$TAG
   ```

<h2 id="update-with-admin-ui">
  관리자 UI로 업데이트
</h2>

관리자 UI를 사용하면 배포 설정을 변경하지 않고도 W\&B App에서 라이선스 키를 교체할 수 있습니다. 이 방법은 W\&B server 컨테이너에 환경 변수로 설정되지 않은 라이선스를 업데이트할 때만 사용할 수 있으며, 주로 Self-Managed 도커 설치 환경이 이에 해당합니다. 이 방법은 라이선스만 업데이트하며, 실행 중인 W\&B Server 버전은 변경하지 않습니다.

1. [W\&B Deployment Page](https://deploy.wandb.ai/)에서 새 라이선스를 획득하세요. 이때 업그레이드하려는 배포의 조직 및 배포 ID와 라이선스가 일치하는지 확인하세요.
2. W\&B App에서 **License** 페이지에 액세스하세요. **Settings** > **License**를 클릭하거나 `HOST_URL/console/settings/license`로 이동하세요. 여기서 `HOST_URL`은 W\&B Server 호스트 URL입니다.
3. 라이선스 관리 섹션으로 이동하세요.
4. 새 라이선스 키를 입력하고 변경 사항을 저장하세요.
