CKS upgrade available with Telecaster integration for enhanced monitoring and observability

Update CKS CKS now supports Kubernetes upgrades to take advantage of the latest features and security updates in Kubernetes. This release also changes the default control group version for new clusters targeting Kubernetes v1.33 and makes CoreWeave Telecaster™ available in CoreWeave Observe™.

Overview​

This release introduces Kubernetes upgrade support for CKS clusters, changes the default control group version for new clusters targeting Kubernetes v1.33, and makes CoreWeave Telecaster™ available in CoreWeave Observe™.

Kubernetes upgrade support​

The CKS now supports upgrading your cluster to take advantage of the latest features and security updates in Kubernetes. To upgrade your CKS cluster, follow the steps in Upgrade Kubernetes.

Default control group version change​

Starting with CKS clusters targeting Kubernetes v1.33, the default Node image uses cgroup v2. This change aligns with the upstream Kubernetes support policy and ensures that new clusters are created with the latest recommended configuration.

This change will not affect existing clusters, which will continue to use the previous default Node image until they are upgraded or recreated. See Kubernetes Versions for more information about the Kubernetes versions supported by CKS and the control group versions used.

CoreWeave Telecaster™ availability​

CoreWeave Telecaster™ is a fully-managed solution for forwarding logs and metrics to destinations outside of CoreWeave. With fine-grained data filtering and low latency streaming to a variety of endpoints, CoreWeave Telecaster™ makes it easy to collect and manage your telemetry data.
