# September 22, 2026 - Capacity Finder API

> Compare Spot capacity across Availability Zones programmatically with the Capacity Finder API, now in beta

**The Capacity Finder API is now available in beta.** Use it to compare [Spot capacity](/platform/capacity-plans/spot-node-pools) across Availability Zones programmatically. For example, you can add a capacity check to automation that creates or scales Spot Node Pools.

Send the instance types and Node counts you need to `POST https://api.coreweave.com/v1beta1/capacity/availability:get`, and then use the ranked results to choose a Zone. Authenticate with a [CoreWeave API access token](/security/authn-authz/manage-api-access-tokens). The API doesn't require a role or permission specific to Capacity Finder.

Results are guidance based on cached capacity data. They don't reserve Nodes or guarantee that provisioning succeeds. Because the API is in beta, its request and response behavior can change, including in ways that aren't backward compatible.
