# March 31, 2025 - CoreWeave AI Object Storage GA

> CoreWeave AI Object Storage reaches General Availability with S3-compatible API access and LOTA integration

CoreWeave AI Object Storage is now Generally Available, providing high-performance object storage optimized for AI and machine learning workloads.

## Overview

[**CoreWeave AI Object Storage**](/products/storage/object-storage) - a purpose-built object storage solution for storing and loading training code, checkpoints, and model weights - is now available in General Availability (GA). This marks an important milestone in our commitment to providing cutting-edge infrastructure solutions for AI and machine learning workloads.

AI Object Storage efficiently serves data directly to GPU Nodes through an [S3-compatible API](/products/storage/object-storage/reference/object-storage-s3), and via model serializers such as [CoreWeave Tensorizer](https://github.com/coreweave/tensorizer). AI Object Storage works in tandem with [CoreWeave's Local Object Transport Accelerator (LOTA)](/products/storage/object-storage/improving-performance/about-lota), a first-of-its-kind, Node-local connection to Object Storage that enables a hyper-efficient path for object data to the GPU, while caching data on GPU Nodes to additionally reduce load times.

CoreWeave AI Object Storage is independent of Cloud provider infrastructure, making it a flexible option for multiple use cases and environments.

## What's new

### AI Object Storage now supported in an additional Availability Zone

AI Object Storage is now supported in an additional Zone - US-EAST-01A.

At this time, AI Object Storage is available in the following [Availability Zones](/platform/regions/about-regions-and-azs):

* US-EAST-01A
* US-EAST-02A
* US-EAST-04A
* US-EAST-06A
* US-EAST-08A

### Brand new Cloud Console UI for AI Object Storage

We are pleased to announce a new Cloud Console UI for AI Object Storage, designed to enhance user experience and streamline the use of Object Storage. The new interface provides a more intuitive way to navigate through your buckets, objects, and settings, making it easier than ever to manage your data.
