# June 29, 2026 - AI Object Storage direct API token exchange

> Exchange a CoreWeave API access token directly for temporary AI Object Storage credentials

CoreWeave AI Object Storage now supports direct API token exchange for temporary S3-compatible credentials.

## Overview

If you already use a CoreWeave API access token, you can now exchange that token directly for temporary AI Object Storage credentials through the container credentials endpoint.

Object Storage authentication guidance now highlights direct API token exchange. It also adds group-based policy guidance tied to identity attributes:
